Privacy Policy & Website Terms
Last updated 4 August 2026.
Who we are
This website is owned and operated by Summit Wealth Limited (“Summit Wealth”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a New Zealand company and a Financial Advice Provider licensed by the Financial Markets Authority (FSP768791). Our office is at 41B Arawa Street, Matamata. You can reach us at … or ….
This page covers what we collect through the website itself. Once you engage us for advice, we collect more — set out in the list below — because giving KiwiSaver advice and arranging a switch or enrolment can’t be done without it. For licensing, fees and complaints specifically, see our Disclosure Statement. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly, which may include:
- your name, email address and phone number, when you use our contact form, book a call, or enquire;
- anything you choose to tell us in a message or enquiry;
- information relevant to KiwiSaver advice — such as your current provider, fund and balance — if you choose to share it when enquiring.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you browse, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and how you arrived at the site, via cookies and similar technologies (see below). We do not process payments through this website, and we do not collect credit card, bank account or payment details here.
If you become a client, we also collect information you give us during the advice process — so we can give you personalised advice and, if you go ahead, arrange your KiwiSaver switch or enrolment with your chosen provider. When we collect your details during the advice process, we set this out again at the time, in Sherpa, our client-management system. We only collect what we need for that, including:
- your IRD number — needed to calculate your correct tax rate (PIR) and to complete a switch or enrolment on your behalf;
- your date of birth and home address — needed to identify you correctly with a provider;
- your income and employment details — needed to understand your contribution capacity and give suitable advice;
- your existing KiwiSaver provider and balance — needed to assess your current position;
- your goals and risk profile — needed to match advice to what you’re actually trying to do with the money;
- your identity documents (such as a driver’s licence or passport), when your provider needs them to open or transfer your KiwiSaver account — we pass these on to your provider and also keep a copy in your client file.
Why we collect it, and what we do with it
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, provide KiwiSaver and investment advice;
- arrange and confirm meetings and calls;
- meet our record-keeping and compliance obligations as a licensed Financial Advice Provider;
- understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Who else may see it
We use third-party services to run the site and our business. Where they handle your information, they do so on our behalf:
- Calendly — appointment booking;
- our website hosting provider;
- Sherpa, our own client-management system, when you become a client or your enquiry is followed up.
Some of these providers are based overseas, which means your information may be stored outside New Zealand. We only use providers we believe have appropriate protections in place. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law — for example to the Financial Markets Authority, or to our external dispute resolution scheme.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work. We don’t run advertising or tracking cookies on it at the moment. If that changes — for example if we add website analytics or advertising tags — we’ll update this page before we turn them on. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how parts of the site work.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email … and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and within the timeframes the Act requires. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to us directly — see our Complaints page — or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz, 0800 803 909).
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Where you become a client, we keep records for at least 7 years, in line with our obligations as a licensed Financial Advice Provider.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send us sensitive information you wouldn’t want intercepted — if in doubt, call us.
Website Terms of Use
This site is general information, not personalised advice
The content on this website — including any guides, calculators, tools and examples — is general information only. It does not take your particular circumstances, goals or financial situation into account, and it is not a personalised financial advice service as defined under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. If you want advice about your own KiwiSaver, get in touch — personalised advice is given only after we’ve talked, and always alongside our Disclosure Statement.
Past performance and examples
Any figures, projections, growth graphs or client examples shown on this site are illustrations. They are not a promise, guarantee or forecast of what you will receive. Investment returns fluctuate and you may get back less than you put in. KiwiSaver is a long-term investment with restrictions on withdrawal.
Accuracy
We take care to keep this site accurate and current, but information about KiwiSaver rules, rates and providers changes. We don’t warrant that everything here is complete or up to date at the time you read it, and we’re not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it. For official KiwiSaver information see ird.govt.nz/kiwisaver.
